The Discovery 3 House in Red Deer, Avalon's first entirely net zero house was built to demonstrate the latest in environmentally sustainable and energy efficient technology home building practices and provided the platform for Avalon's future home building program.
Discovery 4 House, was our first entirely net-zero house in Calgary. Similar to Discovery 3 House, Discovery 4 relies entirely on its own extensive solar and other renewable power systems to produce as much or more energy as needed annually.
Calgary is also home to the Discovery 5 House, where further energy efficient models for the future are being developed to take our home building practices to a new level of green. Many of the green features showcased and tested in our Discovery homes have become part our standard specification package.
